Want to fit in? Cut your own cloth Then, pay for it.
Want to make change? Fork over the dollar.
Follow the boss. Look to him. He’ll kindly, so kindly, let you know the changes you’re allowed to make.
Want to love and be loved? Give up part of your soul.
Want to not love and be loved? Implode upon your own core.
Want to gain the world?
At what profit?
Here’s a soul for sale.
Mephistopheles awaits.
For whatever you choose,
Know this: There’s a price you pay.
The price of admission.
The price of acceptance.
The price for power.
The price for fame.
There’s a price for love,
A price for hatred
A price for freedom,
A price for bondage.
A price for belief,
A price for non-belief.
A price for attachment,
A price for detachment.
A price for knowledge.
A price for ignorance.
A price for comfort,
A price for austerity.
A price for wealth.
A price for poverty.
A price for beauty.
A price for plainness.
A price for brilliance.
A price for stupidity.
No matter what you choose, you pay a price.
The question faces you:
How great a price will you pay for that which you cannot do without?
And what is that?
